Gary and Charlie were good stewards of the land, making sure the farms would be there for future generations. He and Charlie spent most of their lives working on the farms doing tillage, mowing ditches and waterways and harvesting crops in the fall. Gary entered into a long-time partnership with his brother-in-law Charlie Ankrom. The couple moved to the Manchester area where they raised their family. Gary entered into the United States Army where he proudly served our country and was honorable discharged.
